G.NA's 2HOT Fashion

Few days ago, G.NA released her latest music video '2HOT' from her new, third mini album! The teasers got me pretty excited for it because it sounded catchy with the upbeat piano. Her hair, the outfits, and the hunky Korean firefighters also look so fresh.  Are there such things as hunky Korean firefighters? Lol. And now that I've watched the full music video, all I can say is... I LOVE IT!!

So I can't say that I'm particularly an avid fan of G.NA and her music. I always thought she looked old and funny looking. And her BOOBS are HUGE. I can't tell if they're real or not. And I've been told that in some of my pictures I resembled G.NA and I got pretty offended. But her new image has gotten me convinced that I love her voice, her style, and her body and looks! Now I wish I took those G.NA resemblance comments as a compliment in the past!

(And out of all people, why should I give a fuck if her boobs or face may not be real? hahaha)

I can't get over her fashion sense - I think we may share the same tastes since I own similar things! I just wish I had the money to buy better quality pieces and I wish I had long legs and a thin body like hers to pull it off better haha.

Her hair and the clothes that she wears in the 2HOT video are so cute that I went on a mini rampage on finding similar stuff that's affordable so that I can wear it or I can dress up one of my sisters *evil laughing* But I shall share my findings too :)

This is from my Tumblr, but just look at her hair and minimal makeup! I like the two different hair colors, which is getting so freakin' popular, but not everyone can pull it off especially with orange and pink. I want orange hair like hers right now but I just can't yet. This reminds me, I really want to get the Etude House's 'I Love Pink #4' lipstick from the Look at my Lips line. Looks like the same color as her lips, no?

Her first look in the music video is definitely my favorite because I love jackets! And it's the most colorful and it just looks like a lot of fun! Plus, it's everything is SHINY.

(So I know there are a ton of similar items of everything, but I'm literally looking for the MOST SIMILAR. And for something that I would personally wear, so if there is something else that looks like whatever I find, then coooool.)

Her shorts are studded above the entire front pocket area, high-waisted, and cuffed. I found two shorts that I liked the most that looked like hers.

The one on the left is white denim shorts with studs, but it would fit the entire look too. It's from Forever21 for only $17.80! And I don't really like cut-offs since it just makes it look trashier, but it's really easy to just sew up! (type studded shorts in the search bar of their site and you'll find it!)

The light blue denim shorts on the right is from Urban Outfitters, online only, for $79... The denim quality must be a lot better. I know a lot of Forever21 denim get's that lint stuff everywhere after a few wears and washes. (type studded shorts) The stud pattern on these shorts look better in general too.

I had the most fun looking for the top! It's really hard finding a cropped tank top that's tie dyed AND sequinned, but that's okay - as long as it all matches. G.NA's is really bright and colorful and it attracts attention (besides the jacket). I'll admit though, that wearing anything sequinned is a little hard because usually the material fits your body very well and shows every curve you got. More motivation to lose weight!

So I'm going to go left to right, top to bottom, and if you want to find them, just search for 'sequinned' at their sites.

The first one is from cropped tank TOPSHOP for £16.00 which is about $20. If you have a nice body, you could go out in public and show off your stomach and back, unless you want to show off flab. And obviously you wouldn't wear white shorts with this!

Next is actually from Armani Exchange. The one in picture is in Desert Pink for only $29! It comes in a lot of other pinks, white and black, but prices are either $29 or $32 depending on the color. The back doesn't have sequins on it, but it's okay, it's from Armani!

The next one is from Lord and Taylor for $35. It's not sequinned, but the tie dye colors and pattern is pretty!

Now... The jacket is THE HARDEST thing to find. G.NA's was definitely made by whoever her fashion designer is because there is no way I could find a decent looking BRIGHT magenta jacket with zippers at the sleeves with that metallic paper finish that shines a yellow color. You just can't find one at the moment! Maybe her look will be popular enough that Korea will start making those, but it's definitely not going to be found in your mall anytime soon. I found good replacements anyway.

So to have G.NA's first look, you need a just as eye catching, bright jacket to balance the super sequinned top. If you want to go super cheap, there's a pink denim cropped jacket at Forever for just $24.90! Come's in different colors too, but this is the brightest.

This is a light pink biker jacket, you want to play it a little softer at Miss Selfridge for $91.00.

And if you want to stand out, then you can find a very pink (quilted) biker jacket at Jane Norman for only £35 ($44)!

The next three are all from TOPSHOP for £180 ($225), £45 ($56), and £60 ($75) respectively. I love these jackets and they can work really well even though they're not bright pink! But the black might be a little too... black haha

I wasn't intending to find the jewelry or shoes at all because that's something you just find instantly, but I found these shoes at TOPSHOP for £78 ($98)! G.NA's heels are silver and shiny and laced, but these are similar enough and they're pretty.

G.NA's hair is so cute braided like that. Any, this is so easy to mimic and find in stores, so I won't even try! Just rolled up jeans, leather belt, leopard print heels, and a white tie-up dress shirt. WOW you're done!

G.NA is seen wearing this for like... 3 seconds of the entire music video and it looks like a flower print, high-waisted shorts with a sleeveless black blouse. This is easy too but I like how it kind of looks sleek and I thought I'd mention it anyway. So tucking in your shirt into shorts is all you need to do! Add black heels and wooooo.

This is so unique, I would never wear anything like this! haha. It's a simple neon lime-green dress with stud patterns on the bottom. Yeah... Good luck trying to find that.

And she wears those super cute shiny silver heels again with this! I like her hair with that mega fuzzy thing.

This the last one and it's my second favorite! G.NA looks so freakin' cute in this outfit! Just look at that brightening smile! Her lip color is bright and glossy, and having her bangs pinned to the side make her look very youthful LOL. AND LOOK AT THOSE BOOBS. In the music video, they bounce so much at this point that it makes me very jealous about my own. They must be padded a little too haha.

First of all, this look was also designed specifially for her and this video... Finding an oversized bow THAT OVERSIZED is just... I don't even know. And that partial tutu piece that sticks out on her shorts must've been handmade because if you look closely in the music video, it also serves as a belt with the long, black silk/satin strap tied up.  But who would wear a bow that big and a tutu thing in the general public? haha

So I found many similar lace-ish tops from Forever21 and this one was for only $13.80.

And instead of wearing a tutu, a good replacement is just tying a scarf onto your waist. And since this look is too black and white, you can go pink since G.NA has pink in your hair and you most likely don't. Both are from TOPSHOP for £18 ($23) and £16 ($20).

Her shorts look like it's made from silk or satin, so those are almost always on the pricier side. I wouldn't want to wear cheap satin because they scratch easily or just get ruined. The ones with the bows I think are really cute and it's for $96 from Sonia. And the other one is from Theory and it's $150 - Theory is always so overpriced!

G.NA's heels are the cute strapped kind, but I like the ones I found so much more! It looks more modern and sleek. It's from BCBG for freakin $225! I know that's a lot, but shoes need to be in good quality or then they hurt like hell when you walk in them.

My Summer Plan

It finally feels like vacation for me! I've been out of school for a little more than a week now, but I'm finally settled back in my room again and I've finally had a day where I just sat on my chair all day and feel like a lazy bum. I cleaned my room too, which relieved a lot of my stress, but I realized that I REALLY need to get rid of A TON OF CLOTHES and shoes and other junk which can be someone else's treasure :)

And I don't just want to give them away. I'm so fucking broke right now I need to make some kind of profit from the things I want to get rid of. Besides, some of the shoes and clothes that I have are from good brands and either new or barely worn! I honestly wish I was blog-famous enough to be just able to write up a post and be like - MY STUFF ON SALE - and yeah... sucks to be me haha. I don't want to use ebay or online sites, so I think I'm going to go to a thrift store or those buy, trade, sell stores over the summer! I want to make at least $1 on each thing I want to get rid of. That's how desperate I am!

Speaking of summer, there are a bunch of things that I want  to get done for this year's summer! Last year was kind of a fail and I only got half of the things I wanted to do done, but that's because I was over ambitious. I'm going to be a little more realistic this time!

Before my list, I'm going to add in this picture I found a while ago because it kind of sums up what I to do... How so? Well I want to have thin legs like these photoshopped ones on the models. And the pool, the palm trees, their style, and it being night in the picture are all things that I want in some way. *sigh*

So here's my Summer 2012 Plan!

1. Get down to 115 lbs! I'm slowly getting there already! Getting there will mean my arms, face, and legs especially will look slimmer which is what I want most. I'll finally be able to fit in my size 24/25 jeans! And I don't know if I mentioned this already before on my blog, but recently some Korean ahjummas asked my mom if I had plastic surgery! Because I did go to LA for spring break and now my face looks slimmer, they thought I had cut my jaw or chin to get my face size! The fuck? I would NEVER go that extreme to look prettier. They're just jealous that their own daughters don't have a small face like mine, which I have to thank my dad for surprisingly. And because I'm still not at my thinnest point, my face is only going to get smaller... When I lose weight it's most obvious in my face and legs, so hopefully no more ahjummas will say anything. They're just crazy with surgery and looks. 

2. Change my wardrobe! Like I said earlier, I want to get rid of a ton of my clothes. I want to change my style to a more sophisticated yet edgy look. I still want that Korean and New York taste though. And for me, this summer is all about the street and night look! I want to have clothes that I can wear on the streets looking like I'm going out for the night. I know I already have a lot of clothes that fit with my description, but what's wrong with an upgrade?

I LOVE her sheer, long cardigan. It's $75 online... So tempted to just buy it.

Ok, seriously, Asian models for clothing are way too photoshopped around their legs. just stop it, you're making me jealous

3. Go back to LA! There's a reason why I really want to go back. I STILL haven't talked about my LA trip in detail yet... *shame on me* I'm trying to make money fast so that I can go back for at least two weeks in the end of August! And going to LA will mean a lot of things for me. I'll see my family again, eat good food, see my friends over there again, meet more people, tan a bit, go clubbing again, go shopping, and see more opportunities! I can go on, but I'll save that for when I actually stop being lazy and talk about my trip hehe

4. Finish EMT classes well. That's right, I'm taking EMT classes really soon at Boston University. A really close friend of mine convinced me that I should take them and when I was thinking about, it will only help me! So why not? I'll have hands on experience, I can get a license out of it, I'll be meeting a lot of people - hopefully BU students hahaha, and it's forcing me to have to go out pretty much every day. It's also forcing me to find a job in the Boston area and volunteer work there, so that should be super tiring, but all worth it!

Huh because of some idiot, seems like I'm NOT taking these classes anymore... fml.

So yeah, those four are my most important things in my mind. I do have a lot more, but I don't care if I get them done or not! I'll list them anyway to make summer seem more interesting.

5. Zoo/Aquarium trip. One of our friends in church is going back to Korea for a long time, I don't even know if she is going to come back to the states for college! And one of her longtime wishes was to go to the zoo or aquarium as a group and just hang out. So I believe we're going to do that at the end of June! I better see some mad cute otters holding hands.

6. Sell my clothes. I'm so serious I want to sell them! I just don't know to where :'(

7. New York. Once again...

8. Six Flags. I have my own secret reasons HAHAHA

9. Change my hairstyle. This is really embarrassing to me, but I've lost so much of my volume and hair in general due to fucking digital perm that's STILL in my hair and constant dying. It's officially been a year since I got my perm and it's almost gone and it pretty much is taking up 1/3 of the hair. My hair grows fast so I'm really thankful that the worst of the damaged hair is gone. But I can still see the super damaged hair and the bottom portion of the hair is ALWAYS tangled. And dying my hair just makes it more fragile so when I'm washing my hair and brushing through it, the weak hairs and the tangle-ness makes me lose a lot of hair. So I'm being really careful lately and trying to allow my hair to just grow back. So I'm not going to dye it until the end of August, which I hope is enough time. And I just need a haircut. I want something like this?

This picture is actually from my tumblr haha. But pretty simple, straight cut on the bottom, very little/no layering, and front hairs a little shorter to make them "lighter". And I've been thinking of going back to red hair... A lot of people said I looked good in it, but I don't know yet!

10. Clean out my music. Yeah I know everyone needs to clean out their shitty music once in a while.

11. Read my books. There are so many books that I started to read and I just need to finish them!

12. Study for MCATS. This actually should've been my number 1 or 2, but for some reason I totally forgot about it. I already began studying and getting my stuff organized, but I need to pick up the pace. This is one reason why I wish I was 30, married, and rich already. Hoouh I'm probably jinxing it so I'm going to stop talking about it.

13. I want to eat really good Korean BBQ non-stop with some soju on the side in a super loud restaurant with the closest friends accompanying me on a hot summer night with a good 분위기. This is just some stupid fantasy of mine that I think of a lot since I haven't even done this while I was in Korea... Well I did, but my aunt, uncle, or mom was always with me -___-

14. Take more videos. I think I'm starting to like taking videos when I'm out, so we'll see where that goes.

15. Have Starbucks happen again, whether it be in Boston, New York, or LA! Ok this isn't really a "to-do" but more of an event that should happen to everyone out there during the summer haha. What I'm referring to when I say Starbucks is this kind of incident that I thought only happened in stupid Korean dramas, but it actually kind-of happened when I went to New York earlier this month to a weirdo like me. I just didn't talk about it because it made me seem like an idiot, but I had my reasons!

Basically an hour before my bus arrived to go back to Boston, I went to a big and crowded Starbucks to get some quick food. When I walked in I noticed this really good-looking, but very Korean looking guy sitting by himself at a table drinking coffee, but I see that a lot in the streets and malls and restaurants so I just do my own thing as usual. When I got my stuff I sat down at a table far away from where he was sitting, facing the window and while I was just checking that I had all of my stuff with me, I noticed that guy leaving then standing in front of the window. For some reason he kept on looking back into the Starbucks - at me. I thought that maybe he was just looking if he left something.

But for about 10 minutes, he kept on standing in front of the window and looked back inside once in a while in my direction. He couldn't have been waiting for someone either because it's fucking New York. You don't just wait for someone outside and if you need to go somewhere, you don't get a taxi in front of a Starbucks. I mean if you were a tourist you would do that, but he looked like a New Yorker. And you don't just wait for someone outside like a weirdo like it. It was raining that day and he had an umbrella, so it wasn't like he was stuck because of the rain. And I won't lie, I couldn't stop looking at him because he was really cute, so I wouldn't be surprised if he saw me staring for a bit haha!

Anyway I thought in my head, "there's just NO EFFIN' WAY that this guy can be looking at me". I felt like shit that morning too. All of sudden he walked back inside the Starbucks and just stood RIGHT next to my table/ME and I looked up and our eyes met and I'm pretty sure that he was about to say something while taking a phone out of his hand, but at that exact moment I thought, "Oh no I can't be doing shit like this now" and got up and walked away!!! Yes I walked away from a perfect opportunity like an idiot! A good-looking and stylish Korean namja that made an obvious move is something that you don't see a lot and I blew my chance LOL!

Honestly I didn't really care though, I was way too tired to want to talk or even possibly flirt around. I had a bus to catch and if I missed it I would've just died and rotted on the streets. But if this happened once, it'll probably happen again. Ever since that I've been calling things like that Starbucks. This should happen to everyone in the summer, right?

This summer should be productive and interesting... I'm expecting a lot of things, yet I want my summer to be full of surprises! And I'm sure that I'll do a lot more than what I just listed. I just have to be a good girl and get my shit done on time :)

MBLAQ's Mona Lisa Fashion and Style

Apparently, MBLAQ got a new fashion coordinator, which is pretty obvious because when I first watched this MV, I was like "wow.... they looks SOOO much sexier for some reason". If you watch their first music video "Oh Yeah", their clothes looked pretty good for a brand new group and them pulling up their shirts was definitely eye candy for girls lol.

Then you go on and see Y, and wtf they're like a fashionable superman or something.

Anyway, good for them for looking really stylish now. And as a matter of fact, the style that they're pulling off so well in Mona Lisa is my FAVORITE for both guys and girls. Why? Because it's a more mature yet young look, it's really stylish, and it goes perfect with the fall/autumn season that's coming up! If I had the money, I'd be buying clothes like this all the time and going out. If I had a boyfriend or some guy that I can play dress up with (haha funny thought), I'd be putting on clothes and showing him off.

I'm only going to elaborate on three of my favorite outfits shown in the music video... And don't worry, although these are guys, girls can definitely wear basically the same thing and pull it off just as well! (don't think it's because supposedly all Korean guys look girly....)


So there are three different looks in the MV. 

The first look you see when they walk in:

This look as a white and "wild" thing going on with the leopard print, and the eagle on Lee Joon's sleeveless shirt.



Second look is when then you see them dance in this abandoned building with a random gas station inside:

This is my favorite of the three looks and it's mostly black with hints of red (always a Fall combo). I'm loving the American flag print on Mir's pants, looks so funny! Anyway, it looks mature and of course, stylish. And trust me, girls and guys can wear this and look good.



And finally, the third is when they're outside of the building and in the parking lot thing:

This look involves a lot of print and patterns, which is honestly very easy to find and wear....

So I guess I will explain this look. Just find a loose shirt with a print/pattern that is eye catching in a good way, simple accessories, maybe put on a jacket or blazer, and then wear simple jeans/leggings to tone the overall look down. If you wear print legging, you're gonna look stupid and crazy.... lol. Shoes/heels should be colorful.

Now here is outfit #1 ----- Thunder's outfit!

Here, Thunder is wearing a black mesh shirt. I've looked at quite a few places, a mesh shirts are a little hard to grab your hands on, and if you do, they're usually pricey. YesStyle has mesh items (for men and women), but like I said, it's pricey and if you want to get Thunder's style exactly, most likely you have to get a guy's shirt. Recently a lot of mesh stuff has been made as outerwear for swim suits or active wear, but you "always" have to wear something under. I don't think Thunder is wearing anything under but whatever. If you're a girl, please don't be all skanky and wear nothing under or just a bra... 344 has mesh tanks, and although they're really stretchy, they're so tight if you have the slightest bulge of fat it's going to be shown...

The white vest is a little longer than the vests you see in nowadays fashion (they're usually short up to the waist), but honestly, that can work too. Thunder's vest has these black belt strips, but those were most likely put on by hand. Really, any pure white vest with little black or whatever color details can work.

What I don't like about this outfit though are the pants... Thunder wears print leggings under a kilt or very baggy knee shorts. Actually I think it's a kilt. I personally think it makes you're legs look shorter. I guess you could do that but.... *cough*. What I think is a street-friendlier choice is to wear black and white leggings, maybe not as much pattern, or for the more conservative, skinny black jeans or simple leggings.

Shoes - figure it out yourself. It's infinite.

This is from Urban Outfitters and it's actually on sale now for only $19.99. I HAVE THE BEIGE ONE AHH I LOOOVE IT!

Outfit #2 ----- Lee Joon's outfit!

Lee Joon make's me drool, so I'm sure if a guy wears what he's wearing, he'll make me drool too. If a girl wears it and pulls it off, damn, she's just hot and stylish. Anyway, his look is very simple as it's all black. What I love about it is that although it's all black, it doesn't look plain. The only problem is that you should be skinny/thin to wear this because of the style of pants he's wearing.

I LOVE his shirt. It's fit yet it looks loose and baggy and has a deep scoop neck thing - it adds curiosity because people like me want to see skin lol. You may think these shirts are easy to find, BUT THEY'RE NOT!

On top of that, he's wearing a tight mesh or knit cardigan. It doesn't look like it but IT IS a bit see through. The good thing about mesh or knit is that they stretch and fit you easily and show off your curves lol. The cardigan is the average cardigan length and has no buttons whatsoever. This is also hard to find... I searched many stores and they just don't make mesh things in this country or pretty knit cardigans.....

The hardest part of the outfit to pull of are the harem pants. I, as well as every Korean, call them "ddong ba-ji" or "poop pants" because they look like you took a shit in your pants LOL! I just learned recently that they're called harem pants. Anyway, you MUST be thin to wear them because they make your legs look shorter and fatter, usually. But the one Lee Joon is wearing is pretty nice because the baggy part of his bottoms aren't that low. And girls can wear the ones that end in the middle of the shin because they're cute.


Outfit #3 ----- Mir's outfit!

Mir's outfit is pretty cute and honestly, it kinda only works for guys. But whatever, I don't care.
I'm loving his dark red shirt because of the print on it. It's simple, clean and it doesn't hurt my eyes. Any dark color can work, but red is always paired with black for fall style. So good luck trying to find something like that in stores.

On top, he's wearing a very simple black collar button up shirt whatever the hell you call it. But it can't be just any one because his is long sleeved (just rolled up which gives it more style) and it has that extra thing on top of the shoulders with the snap on, gold buttons. Those things give more volume to your shoulders like shoulder pads, and it gives it a more edgy feel which fall fashion is always about. And the collar should come out like this. If you don't like that, any other black blazer or collared jacket can work just as well.

As for bottoms, simple black skinny jeans work the best. And if you want you can add any flag of your choice on the front, top half of your pants. Or just simple chains can do the job.




I hope my explanation's gave a little more insight of what the MBLAQ members wore in their awesome music video! And I hope you can go shopping with a bit more ease on what kind of look you want to wear when you go out on the streets (or you can dress up your boyfriend as a gift hahhaa). Of course, you can vary it to however you want to, it's all up to you. It's already hard enough to find pretty clothes the way I want in stores... (Online shopping is the best because you can buy stuff from across the freaking world)

I promise, If you just follow what I said, you can be looking like MBLAQ and stylish for the fall :)
