My Summer Plan

It finally feels like vacation for me! I've been out of school for a little more than a week now, but I'm finally settled back in my room again and I've finally had a day where I just sat on my chair all day and feel like a lazy bum. I cleaned my room too, which relieved a lot of my stress, but I realized that I REALLY need to get rid of A TON OF CLOTHES and shoes and other junk which can be someone else's treasure :)

And I don't just want to give them away. I'm so fucking broke right now I need to make some kind of profit from the things I want to get rid of. Besides, some of the shoes and clothes that I have are from good brands and either new or barely worn! I honestly wish I was blog-famous enough to be just able to write up a post and be like - MY STUFF ON SALE - and yeah... sucks to be me haha. I don't want to use ebay or online sites, so I think I'm going to go to a thrift store or those buy, trade, sell stores over the summer! I want to make at least $1 on each thing I want to get rid of. That's how desperate I am!

Speaking of summer, there are a bunch of things that I want  to get done for this year's summer! Last year was kind of a fail and I only got half of the things I wanted to do done, but that's because I was over ambitious. I'm going to be a little more realistic this time!

Before my list, I'm going to add in this picture I found a while ago because it kind of sums up what I to do... How so? Well I want to have thin legs like these photoshopped ones on the models. And the pool, the palm trees, their style, and it being night in the picture are all things that I want in some way. *sigh*

So here's my Summer 2012 Plan!

1. Get down to 115 lbs! I'm slowly getting there already! Getting there will mean my arms, face, and legs especially will look slimmer which is what I want most. I'll finally be able to fit in my size 24/25 jeans! And I don't know if I mentioned this already before on my blog, but recently some Korean ahjummas asked my mom if I had plastic surgery! Because I did go to LA for spring break and now my face looks slimmer, they thought I had cut my jaw or chin to get my face size! The fuck? I would NEVER go that extreme to look prettier. They're just jealous that their own daughters don't have a small face like mine, which I have to thank my dad for surprisingly. And because I'm still not at my thinnest point, my face is only going to get smaller... When I lose weight it's most obvious in my face and legs, so hopefully no more ahjummas will say anything. They're just crazy with surgery and looks.

2. Change my wardrobe! Like I said earlier, I want to get rid of a ton of my clothes. I want to change my style to a more sophisticated yet edgy look. I still want that Korean and New York taste though. And for me, this summer is all about the street and night look! I want to have clothes that I can wear on the streets looking like I'm going out for the night. I know I already have a lot of clothes that fit with my description, but what's wrong with an upgrade?

I LOVE her sheer, long cardigan. It's $75 online... So tempted to just buy it.

Ok, seriously, Asian models for clothing are way too photoshopped around their legs. just stop it, you're making me jealous

3. Go back to LA! There's a reason why I really want to go back. I STILL haven't talked about my LA trip in detail yet... *shame on me* I'm trying to make money fast so that I can go back for at least two weeks in the end of August! And going to LA will mean a lot of things for me. I'll see my family again, eat good food, see my friends over there again, meet more people, tan a bit, go clubbing again, go shopping, and see more opportunities! I can go on, but I'll save that for when I actually stop being lazy and talk about my trip hehe

4. Finish EMT classes well. That's right, I'm taking EMT classes really soon at Boston University. A really close friend of mine convinced me that I should take them and when I was thinking about, it will only help me! So why not? I'll have hands on experience, I can get a license out of it, I'll be meeting a lot of people - hopefully BU students hahaha, and it's forcing me to have to go out pretty much every day. It's also forcing me to find a job in the Boston area and volunteer work there, so that should be super tiring, but all worth it!

Huh because of some idiot, seems like I'm NOT taking these classes anymore... fml.

So yeah, those four are my most important things in my mind. I do have a lot more, but I don't care if I get them done or not! I'll list them anyway to make summer seem more interesting.

5. Zoo/Aquarium trip. One of our friends in church is going back to Korea for a long time, I don't even know if she is going to come back to the states for college! And one of her longtime wishes was to go to the zoo or aquarium as a group and just hang out. So I believe we're going to do that at the end of June! I better see some mad cute otters holding hands.

6. Sell my clothes. I'm so serious I want to sell them! I just don't know to where :'(

7. New York. Once again...

8. Six Flags. I have my own secret reasons HAHAHA

9. Change my hairstyle. This is really embarrassing to me, but I've lost so much of my volume and hair in general due to fucking digital perm that's STILL in my hair and constant dying. It's officially been a year since I got my perm and it's almost gone and it pretty much is taking up 1/3 of the hair. My hair grows fast so I'm really thankful that the worst of the damaged hair is gone. But I can still see the super damaged hair and the bottom portion of the hair is ALWAYS tangled. And dying my hair just makes it more fragile so when I'm washing my hair and brushing through it, the weak hairs and the tangle-ness makes me lose a lot of hair. So I'm being really careful lately and trying to allow my hair to just grow back. So I'm not going to dye it until the end of August, which I hope is enough time. And I just need a haircut. I want something like this?

This picture is actually from my tumblr haha. But pretty simple, straight cut on the bottom, very little/no layering, and front hairs a little shorter to make them "lighter". And I've been thinking of going back to red hair... A lot of people said I looked good in it, but I don't know yet!

10. Clean out my music. Yeah I know everyone needs to clean out their shitty music once in a while.

11. Read my books. There are so many books that I started to read and I just need to finish them!

12. Study for MCATS. This actually should've been my number 1 or 2, but for some reason I totally forgot about it. I already began studying and getting my stuff organized, but I need to pick up the pace. This is one reason why I wish I was 30, married, and rich already. Hoouh I'm probably jinxing it so I'm going to stop talking about it.

13. I want to eat really good Korean BBQ non-stop with some soju on the side in a super loud restaurant with the closest friends accompanying me on a hot summer night with a good 분위기. This is just some stupid fantasy of mine that I think of a lot since I haven't even done this while I was in Korea... Well I did, but my aunt, uncle, or mom was always with me -___-

14. Take more videos. I think I'm starting to like taking videos when I'm out, so we'll see where that goes.

15. Have Starbucks happen again, whether it be in Boston, New York, or LA! Ok this isn't really a "to-do" but more of an event that should happen to everyone out there during the summer haha. What I'm referring to when I say Starbucks is this kind of incident that I thought only happened in stupid Korean dramas, but it actually kind-of happened when I went to New York earlier this month to a weirdo like me. I just didn't talk about it because it made me seem like an idiot, but I had my reasons!

Basically an hour before my bus arrived to go back to Boston, I went to a big and crowded Starbucks to get some quick food. When I walked in I noticed this really good-looking, but very Korean looking guy sitting by himself at a table drinking coffee, but I see that a lot in the streets and malls and restaurants so I just do my own thing as usual. When I got my stuff I sat down at a table far away from where he was sitting, facing the window and while I was just checking that I had all of my stuff with me, I noticed that guy leaving then standing in front of the window. For some reason he kept on looking back into the Starbucks - at me. I thought that maybe he was just looking if he left something.

But for about 10 minutes, he kept on standing in front of the window and looked back inside once in a while in my direction. He couldn't have been waiting for someone either because it's fucking New York. You don't just wait for someone outside and if you need to go somewhere, you don't get a taxi in front of a Starbucks. I mean if you were a tourist you would do that, but he looked like a New Yorker. And you don't just wait for someone outside like a weirdo like it. It was raining that day and he had an umbrella, so it wasn't like he was stuck because of the rain. And I won't lie, I couldn't stop looking at him because he was really cute, so I wouldn't be surprised if he saw me staring for a bit haha!

Anyway I thought in my head, "there's just NO EFFIN' WAY that this guy can be looking at me". I felt like shit that morning too. All of sudden he walked back inside the Starbucks and just stood RIGHT next to my table/ME and I looked up and our eyes met and I'm pretty sure that he was about to say something while taking a phone out of his hand, but at that exact moment I thought, "Oh no I can't be doing shit like this now" and got up and walked away!!! Yes I walked away from a perfect opportunity like an idiot! A good-looking and stylish Korean namja that made an obvious move is something that you don't see a lot and I blew my chance LOL!

Picture break, I want her cardigan too...

Honestly I didn't really care though, I was way too tired to want to talk or even possibly flirt around. I had a bus to catch and if I missed it I would've just died and rotted on the streets. But if this happened once, it'll probably happen again. Ever since that I've been calling things like that Starbucks. This should happen to everyone in the summer, right?

This summer should be productive and interesting... I'm expecting a lot of things, yet I want my summer to be full of surprises! And I'm sure that I'll do a lot more than what I just listed. I just have to be a good girl and get my shit done on time :)

A Day in New York HAUL

As I blogged before, I went to New York recently for one day and bought a bunch of cute stuff!!

I'll first start with what I didn't get exactly... I went to the Fashion District of New York and went to this one store that was having a huge clearance sale and the shoes there were so cheap! Why didn't I buy any of them? Because I am totally broke right now :(

And almost all of them were recognizable brand name shoes that you see online or in Nordstrom! It was 20%-70% off!

Ankle rain boots!! Cute ones like these are hard to find, and these were orginally ~$100, but in this store they were all $50!

As you can obviously see, these heels were $48 or $20! I REALLY wanted to buy the $48 white strapped heels! They were like 5 inches though, and they KILLED my feet, so no buy. Aren't they so pretty and fierce looking? I wish I owned shoes like those!

Now that I'm looking at these pictures again, I really regret not buying anything there. Oh well! Anyway, the first thing I bought was this super cute plushie from the Hello Kitty Store! And his name is Tuxedo Sam! I finally have a new doll that's NOT a monkey...

I went to a random accessory store near the fashion district and they had one whole wall full of stuff on sale! The bracelet is my favorite! Reminds me of 2NE1, which is why I bought it... *no shame* I plan on wearing this a lot during the summer!

I also bought these earrings! When I wear them, they're definitely noticeable, which is what I wanted! These look really muh-sshi-suh, so yeah. I love them a lot too.

I also bought these two necklaces. They're very Korean styled, and the owner of the store was Korean, so my smart thinking led me to the conclusion that she buys accessories from Korea. So it made me love the bracelet, earrings, and the necklaces even more! And the best part, since these were all bought from the sale wall, each thing was $2.99 each! I'M SO CHEAP YAY!

When I went to SOHO, The one thing on my mind was to go to TOPSHOP and buy the white skull print scarf! It has skulls all around the edge, which is what I love the most about it! The material is really nice and soft too. All I can say is that skulls are in right now, and this is the best and sexiest scarf that I own now hahaha

What it looks like when opened up... Doesn't the design make it look so much better?!

Then I went to the Brandy Melville store that's also in Soho, and bought two things! First is this greenish hooded sweater. I've mentioned in my previous post about how the cotton in this store is the 'point'! It's really soft! The sweater is really thin too, so it's meant to be worn in the spring and summer!I love it because it's baggy and the back is longer than the front.

The other shirt that I bought was this one with a skull print on the front - of course. I liked how the sides were cut deep, it makes you look skinnier haha! I know I'll be wearing this often!

Ok this next one is something that I'm not really proud of, but why not mention it? So my feet were killing me while I was walking around Soho, so I HAD to stop by and buy new shoes. I found an Urban Outfitters and found something that was decent and bought it. I regret it though because it was around $35~$39, I forget, and after two days of wearing them, they're already getting ruined! What kind of shit sandals are these? I really liked the chains and colors on them, but nope! This is the second time I bought some kind of shoes from Urban that got ruined really quickly. But they are pretty....

Anyway, my favorite things that I bought were the smallest ones! And they were all from K-town. First I'll show you the things I bought in the Face Shop!

I bought false eye lashes! I really like wearing falsies on special occasions, and I needed new ones anyways. The second ones scare me a little, but I want to try something new! Hopefully the time comes to try these out!

I LOVE NAIL POLISH! So I had to buy more! I bought three from Face Shop and I love all the colors! I should have probably worn the colors too and taken a picture, but I already did my nails recently, so I couldn't. Maybe next time! But the orange one is the prettiest because it has this sparkly pearly thing going on. The pink one has a purple shiny tint to it too which makes it special and the mint colored one is really nice when you want to go out at night ;) which is what I have on now LOL. The bad thing about Face Shop nail polish is that if you're not careful, it gets thick quickly. But I can't argue that their colors are really nice!

And of course I got a free sample mask after buying the nail polish and falsies! That's what I fucking love about Korean beauty shops - free shit that's actually NICE.

Then I walked into a small Korean accessory store that's really close to the Face Shop and bought these two really cute hair ties! I freakin' love both! I can't decide which one to give my sister... Anyway they're fun to just wear on your wrist too haha

So that's it for my New York haul! Thank fucking god that I only stayed there for a day or else I would've been SUPER BROKE. I'm super happy with the things that I bought for myself, my cousin and my sisters! Next time I'm going with them to find even prettier stuff!

Now I'm going to get ready to hang out with people tonight, bye!

A Day in New York

If you guys didn't know, I recently just came back from my one day trip to New York! And of course I have to blog about it and post pictures because I should be studying for my last final, but I don't want to.

I went on the 4th of May and I just have to say that it was a real refresher! Everything in New York just seemed more beautiful to me than usual. Maybe it was because I needed a change of scenery from school and work. Either way, I went partly because I didn't have finals to study for for a while and partly because I was a little bored of the college town I was in... And partly because I wanted to forget about my guy problems and see some new eye-candy, if you know what I mean. In the end, the main reason I traveled there for a day was to visit my younger cousin and just hang out with him since I've been missing him.

So I left or the bus around 6:30AM and arrived in Port Authority around 11:30AM. I hated the bus ride, but I forgot all about it after I actually walked onto the streets of New York City. The weather was a little cold and I think it rained the day before, so it was kind of gross outside...

The first thing I went to was the Sanrio, Hello Kitty store! And I must say things were a little overpriced, not really, but super cute! There were so many dolls and stationary and other crap with Hello Kitty on it. Yes, I did buy a plushie from here and I will have a New York haul post about that soon!

After cruising through that really fast, I finally got into Times Square, and as usual, there were tourists in packs taking group pictures in front of stores or with those scary Elmos and Buzz Lightyears roaming around everywhere. But since the weather wasn't the greatest and it was still a little early, it wasn't that packed. It made my walk so much easier too.

This is one of the billboards in Times Square... And that's a sexy car... I want a car so badly right now...

The Disney and Forever21 store in Times Square looking pretty as always. Love the group in the neon pink shirts.

This is the giant Toys R Us store and this time around, the heroes from the Avengers are on it! I saw the midnight premiere of the movie and IT WAS SO GOOD! I was skeptical about the movie at first, but it's so worth it! I'm planning on watching it again. Thor is sexy and the Hulk is the best ;)

Because I had a plan for the day, I didn't have time to go into any of the stores in Times Square and I was heading straight to Koreatown, 32nd Street so that I could eat and meet up with my cousin. But as I was walking I found THIS:

CRUMBS!!!!! It's the BEST cupcake bakery I've been to yet! The first time I went into one was when I was Los Angeles recently for spring break (oops I forgot to blog about that... I'll do that soon too!) and I can't describe how good it tastes. They're super moist and the favors are really good. Each one has a filling in it too that matches the name of the cupcake. The designs are simple, cute, and colorful too. So yeah, when I saw this, I had to stop by and buy me one! Too bad that there isn't a Crumbs bakery in the Boston area... Or is there one? And here's another side comment of mine: Because this is New York, people here just dress well naturally like the one walking in the right of the picture. *sigh* I love this 분위기. <-search it up if you don't know what that means haha.

This is one of many small parks that are scattered around New York. I forget the name even though I always walk through it, but it's the one next to Korean town. This one is really small, but it's so cute and pretty! This was when the weather started to warm up, so it just felt really nice walking through it.

I finally got to Korean town, from now on it's K-town, and since my cousin wasn't there just yet, I did a little shopping in some of the stores. First of all, I'll talk about the K-town in New York. It covers 31st - 36th street on 5th and 6th Avenue, and many Korean people live there. But the main attraction is 32nd Street. That's where all the good stuff is located - the restaurants, bakeries, foryo places, accessories, kpop stuff, a FaceShop is there, and more. At night, it's pretty sexy because that's where all the good looking Koreans come out to eat and then go clubbing and karaoke or whatever. They all stand outside of the restaurants smoking, it's a hot scene LOL.

Again, since I was there in the afternoon, there weren't that many sexy people walking around, but that was okay with me because I still got my fill of eye-candy. A lot of the waiters in the restaurants hang around outside to do errands, smoke, take a break, or whatever outside and DAMN they were all good looking. I wish I dressed better and looked better that day, but I was feeling like crap so I probably looked like a mess - hence why there are no pictures of me in this blog... BUT I did make eye contact with some and I wanted to die hahaha.

My cousin found me while I was shopping for some stuff and then we went to this Korean-cafeteria styled place in the same area, I go there often too but I never remember the name.... Oh well. I was craving cold bibim myun. It's Korean cold noodles with meat, veggies, spicy sauce, and of course chunks of ice. IT WAS GOOD and pretty cheap.

After stuffing my face and talking, we went to the Koryodang bakery that's close by and bought bubble tea. The drinks were okay, but what I love about this bakery is the interior! I remember going there when I was younger with my sisters and my cousin, and we just fell in love with the place! And Korean bakery is always good. So yeah. I really like Koryodang.

After that, our destination was SOHO! We took the subway or the metro - whatever the hell people call it in New York, and walked to my cousin's NYU dorm to drop off some stuff and walked to Soho. The streets are so pretty! I was so happy that the trees were all green and full. The streets of New York just looks and feels different from the streets in  Boston. Yes, that guy is my cousin.

Soho was mad busy and crowded with more tourists and the New Yorkers all shopping and taking pictures. I had one store in mind and that was TOPSHOP. I've never been to the one in New York, so it was time. there were this one item I had to get my hands on too! There are three floors and the top floor was where all the new shoes and sale shoes were. I love the clothes from TOPSHOP, I just wish it was cheaper!!

The store I went to after was Brandy Melville! Boston doesn't have one of the stores, but I'll just say that I love their style of clothing and the cotton feels really soft! I did go to other stores, but they're not worth mentioning hehe.

After shopping, we headed back to the NYU area and I wanted to see another park. Yeah, hopefully everyone recognizes this building. And I forgot the name once again! Sorry guys, I just woke up from my sleep and I pulled an all-nighter before for my hardest final. I can't think and can't remember anything!

The park is really, really close to my cousin'r dorm, we we just walked around and talked more. I could imagine being with  a boyfriend and taking a stroll... It's a bigger park and it's spacious and pretty... I need to find a namja...

After walking around and seeing a ton of French tourists around the park, we got hungry and I wanted to eat ramen. I wanted to go to the famous(?) ramen restaurant called Ippudo, but it was too far and I was getting way too tired. My cousin knew a ramen place really close by his dorm called Ramen Takumi, and we went in there and ordered yummy food! I ordered pork gyoza, which were good and the tan-tan something ramen. And stuff near the bottom of the picture is supposed to be 'cut-up' chicken, but it was more like hacked chicken.

To be honest, it definitely wasn't as good as Ippudo. It the ambiance in this restaurant was no where as cool
and trendy as Ippudo. Ramen Takumi is cute inside, but that's it, cute. Whereas Ippudo has fancy seats and furnishings and a nice dim to it. But Takumi is cheaper, less crowded, quieter, and close by. So if you like those things, I recommend going. I mean, it still tasted really good to me! (Ippudo is REALLY REALLY good though).

This is the front of Ramen Takumi. See the brick walls and the lights inside? :)

Finally I head back to the dorm, organized everything that I had just bought and got ready for my bus back to my school the next day. But the next early morning, I still had to check out some stuff!

New York was a lot of fun, and I just missed it a lot. Because I go there a lot, at some point in my life I realized that New York was a place that I would HATE to live in. But going there once in a while is something that I LOVE. It's one thing to travel there with family, and another when you're going there with friends. But going there by yourself to just relax is something different altogether. It's surprisingly relaxing when you're alone with no worries and no strict plans in Manhattan. The scenery is so pretty too! Everything has a style to it and I love it! My only regrets were that I wish I ate more food off the streets and restaurants, and I wish I looked better and healthier (lol) that day so that I could take a least one picture with my cousin on the vintage looking streets.

This one day trip/visit was something I really needed, and even though I am totally broke now, it was all worth it! I'm planning on going again soon, either alone, with my friend that like to party a lot, or with my sisters and cousin! And the next time I go, I'm going to try out different foods and take more pictures with whoever I am traveling with haha!

So next up, I'll blog about my A Day in New York HAUL! And my LA trip will eventually make it's appearance...

And now I shall end my New York trip story with a picture of a typical, but pretty scene that you see when you're visiting the city!

I'm About To Sleep

Yeah as the title suggests, I'm about to go to sleep - it's pretty much 1 AM right now. But before I go to sleep I feel like blogging for a bit.

Last weekend, I was getting stressed out about a lot of things. First, I had an interview and I think I failed that because I got nervous during it all of a sudden. It was an interview for a position next year as an event coordinator for one of my school's  more 'official' organizations. I knew one of the guys that already works there, and he told me that my application was one of the best ones! And he told me that there were two positions and only FIVE applicants, including me, were getting interviewed. And I was surprised that I got it because for one, I applied past the deadline, and two, I don't have work study - and they're really picky about that. But when I went to my interview all dressed up like a secretary, I saw five people sitting at a table and my friend, the guy that I knew was there.... AND there was someone else there that I knew! It was so unexpected and it just threw me off... Errr these five people were interviewing just one me....

I know that that shouldn't be anything big or anything, and it wasn't. But the fact that I knew two people who were interviewing me kind of freaked me out. Why? Because they have seen my partying, stupid, and loud side of me. And now they were being all serious and seeing my serious side! Again, I know that things outside of school and work shouldn't have had any affect on my performance during my interview, but I just freaked out and got embarrassed. And during the interview I answered some things... awkwardly. I only the remember the bad things, oh my god... Well, I do remember seeing some impressed faces during the interview...

*SIGH* Before, I was so sure that I could get the job for the school year - and I was depending on it so that I could make money for my future spring break trip and who knows? Maybe I can go to California again next summer! But where did my confident, smart, and polite me go during that damn interview?!

Lesson learned: Don't party and go crazy too much in front of people that you aren't super close with. It can bite you in the ass when you least expect it.

What else... Ah. I'm having serious namja problems. I don't know if I can blog about it yet since I feel like this episode of the whole damn situation just isn't over yet. When it is, I'll definitely blog about it because it's a pretty memorable piece of my life.

I want to say that I hate namjas right now, but it's more like I just CANNOT trust them. Right now, I feel like that they all have secret motives or something. I know that everyone, not just one gender, has their motives. But like I said before, I'm having namja problems and I've been stressing, so my mind is totally biased. Or is it totally biased? Either way, I know that I can't trust the male species. What happened to the happier, don't-care-if-you're-a-guy-as-long-as-you're-nice-to-me, doubtless Steph?

With all this said and school work slowly piling up as finals come closer and closer, I am just getting sad about everything. My close friend saved me by coming in my room while I was in bed just staring at the ceiling and told me that we needed to go out. We were both stressed out, she having different reasons than mine. And we ended up eating at a restaurant, watching the Hunger Games movie for one night and the day after we stayed in Barnes and Noble for 6 hours, just talking.

And that was exactly what we needed. Just a friend to spew out our inner feelings and get comfort. We also did something that I thought was kinda cute, yet inspiring?

It was my friend's idea, that we list the things that we know that we are good at and the things that we would like to get good at. Then we listed all of the possible careers that we've ever thought of wanting. Then looking at the things that we are good at and the things we would like to get good at, we started to cross of the careers that didn't match us. We talked about it too since sometimes you need an outsider's perspective to see who you are. And the funny thing was, our results were very different. We had different strengths and weaknesses and totally different careers that we were interested in. In the end, my career options were public relations, advertising, and dun dun dun... plastic surgery! Her's were things like a counselor, something government related, and a lawyer. After that, we started to write little goals for ourselves to become good at the things we want to get good at, and to get closer to our dream jobs.

As silly as this sounds, it made me really happy inside. I felt a lot more confident about working hard to get closer and closer to the person that I am. And my friend and I felt that there was no reason to become upset because of people that have seen my partying side, bitches, and namjas. We both agreed that these people that give us a hard time is just a passing phase. And that the time for good things to happen will come sooner than we think.

Now. It's been a week and that time finally came to the both of us! Good things happened to my friend. As for me, I've been doing really well in my classes and my dad is telling me that if I keep it up, I'll get a really nice car as soon as I finish up my sophomore year of college. And my namja problems are slowly going away as my guy friends here and the interesting guy friend that I met during my LA trip are making my distrust go away. And that damn job interview? I don't give a damn anymore! If I don't get the job, that just means more time for me to go out and it gives me a reason to get money from my parents if I'm ever broke.

And other good news, I've decided to go to New York  next weekend to see my cousin! I miss him and I just want to have a one on one talk because you just need those once in a while. Not to mention, I also want to go shopping heh heh heh ;)

Me and my friend!
This picture is to remind us that we have everything to shape our lives the way we want to.
We just need to work hard at it :)

Remember that! And nothing can stop you ㅋㅋㅋ

NRB and KOREAN NIGHT

It's the perfect temperature outside, not too sunny, not too windy, and my room doesn't feel like a sauna for once. So what do I do instead? Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, and blog, when instead I SHOULD be studying for my exam tomorrow night or finish writing my LA experience. OH WELL. I'm just going to contemplate on the past couple weekends.

So the weekend of March 30 to April 01, I went home for the weekend because I promised my sisters and my cousin that I would take them out to karaoke in Allston and eat chicken at Bon Chon. All I can say about that is that it was the most relaxing and fun time I had in while with just my family. We sang our hearts out and ate like pigs and talked about life's issues. I was getting sick, but it was all worth it! And damn, we all put on a shit ton of makeup and looked amazing, but I'm not going to post up out selcas ;)

The best part of that night was after leaving the noraebang. Jeero blasted on BAD BOY by Big Bang on her iPhone and we all started singing and walking-dancing to it on the streets.

Simmie, Sarah, and Jeero. Jeero is so passionate looking there.

Now the weekend of April 06 - 07 was a crazy one. That was the weekend when the Korean Student Association that I'm a part of had our annual Korean Night. April 6 was dress rehearsal day and it just a lot of fun just walking around the giant, empty auditorium and just seeing all of the performances where there isn't that one annoying person that's sitting behind you and kicking your seat like a retard. And if you didn't know, I'm a part of executive board of KSA as media chair. I had the fun part of making the flyers and posters that were all over my campus - muahaha I'm proud of my work that I didn't really work on because I was a lazy ass.

And the picture above is one of the four mini-flyers I made and I had to do something with 2NE1 because they're sexy HAHAHA.

Then the next day, we had to do rehearsals again from 10 am until 5 pm which, again was pretty fun since this time the Yale students came to perform their Korean drumming and the guests artists that we hired finally arrived!

We got the comedian from Los Angeles, Danny Cho! If you haven't heard of him, you can check him out on his YouTube page:

I personally think those aren't that funny - he's too dirty and racist, but I guess that's what you have to expect from a comedian. BUT he is also in this mini-show called KTOWN COWBOYS. It's a mini-series thing shot in LA and from the name I think you can guess what it's about. A group of Korean guys hanging out in this amazing place in LA called KTOWN. Danny is in the show and he actually wrote all of the episodes too! Here's the YouTube channel, check it out!! It's actually really funny :)

**SIDE STORY* When I went to this one bar in K-Town, I actually saw one of the guys from the mini show and he was working as the bartender! I didn't recognize him until after I left though. Cool, right?**

And the other guest artist that came was this amazing hip hop artist / songwriter named Gowe from Seattle. It stands for Gifted on West East. He was adopted by Chinese parents and when he turned 18, he found out that he was actually adopted and Korean. Anyway, his songs are actually really good! His beats are really good and the lyrics are actually meaningful and UNDERSTANDABLE - unlike whatever the hell Lil Wayne says. His song "I Wonder" is about that part of his life - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WATCHING IT! And his other song "Star In My Eyes" is really good too!! CHECK HIM OUT!!

Then at 7 pm was the actual show. I was placed in the front to hand out the program to the people that showed up and to be honest I was disappointed. Not that many people showed up as I would have liked. And seriously, we all put in so much work for the two hour show and people just don't realized that. BUT other than that, it was the most amount of people that had ever come to a Korean Night and the audience was pretty good! I was so happy that my friends came to watch and they were all pretty responsive, especially when Gowe and Danny performed! Either way I would describe more of the show, but then it would get boring and I'm probably going to do KSA again next year and next year's show will hopefully be even better and more worth writing about :)

Anyway, during the show backstage, I talked to Danny and Gowe A LOT. My impression, Danny is a strange one.... not that friendly, but really funny to talk to if you're chill about being insulted on the spot. And Gowe is soooo nice and friendly. He apparently was asking about about me to another friend of mine when I was someplace else - I felt so effin' special LOL. And now we are Facebook friends! That's how nice he is. And funny thing, we have a random mutual friend and it just shows how small this world is!!

I had to get pictures with them, no?

LOL my face is funny and Danny looks like a sketch because I told him my story about how this black guy came up to me like a total  creep and wouldn't stop touching my sides and before we took a normal picture, he told me that he was going to pretend that we was that guy.

Yes. HE IS SHORT. Yeah I'm wearing heels, but still.... HAHA. I look fat in this, but that's okay.

Then me and Gowe! Yes, he is pretty short too.

And I had to take a picture of myself! I liked what I was wearing that day and my hair ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I got non stop compliments on my nails, which you obviously can't really see, but I just had to mention that...

Overall, Korean Night was stressful and fun. I can also remember the after-party, but I can't talk about that ;)

.........................................................................

Now it is 5:30... I have used 3 hours of my time indoors and on my laptop. I am the most productive person in the world right now!! Time to go EAT!

Resurrected

I have been gone for way too long. A bit more than two months.I literally died... from school and all of the little shits that come with it.

But my SPRING BREAK had resurrected me!!!!

Just to let you know, I went to the Sunny State for a week, and I had the most fun of my life! And on top of that, school hasn't been too bad, I actually feel more motivated to do work! So I haven't been procrastinating and those little shits I mentioned, they don't bother me anymore! And the weekend after my amazing trip, I went back home to see my sisters and my cousin and we had an amazing night - something that we REALLY needed.

Ever since I came back from Los Angeles, I just feel like a totally new person! So the tired, always busy, worrying, always complaining me is gone (well for now hahaha, who knows who pisses me off next). Now I seem to always have time and I feel more optimistic about things. So that means I will be blogging again!

So yeah. This was an announcement post, so yeah... I'm still alive guys :)
